Version 4.1 corrects some color errors on Mono Systems. If you
have a mono system and have any trouble displaying this program
please let me know right away so I can correct the error. I do
not have access to a mono system and cannot always test the mono
features 100%.
Version 4.2. Only minor changes were made to the program. These
changes were mostly to the opening and closing screens. I had
thought to use QuickBASIC 3.0, which is faster in execution
but decided against it so I would not have to include the
runtime library in the archive. Some early releases of this
version were done with QB 3.0.
Version 5.0. This is a whole new version and is written in Turbo
Pascal 5.5. It may look a whole lot like the previous versions,
but it is different. This one should run just fine on either color
or mono systems. I have finally correctly handled mono systems. If
you have trouble let me know right away. (just in case I'm wrong!)
I configured my system as mono and tested the program and everything
looked fine. Where I use colors I check to see if the program loaded
on a mono system and if not then do a color command. It took a lot
of work to convert and upgrade this one and hope I have corrected
all the problems that I had with it.
Version 5.1. Upgraded my system to BP 7.0 (Turbo Pascal 7.0, etc.)
In so doing some of the delays I used were too long due to BP having
bugs in the delay option corrected. Also changed some of the diplays,
colors, Information Screen.
The score file format has changed. If you are currently running an
earlier version please delete the score file from inside the program
and start over. If you do not do this step the display of the scores
as well as the score file itself will be all messed up. So if you get
a strange score file display you need to delete it and start over. I
added the time to the score displays.
Version 5.2. The score file format has changed again, but it will work
okay without erasing it. I just colorized the players' names inside
the program and the 5.1 score file contains periods in the user's
name. It is suggested that if you are using an earlier version to
erase the score file from inside the program.
Much internal updates besides many of the displays. The background on
the exit screen is not the users' background color. Looks better. Key
presses are now highlighted making them easier to understand. Overall
the program should be more colorful.
Also added HUCKABEY.TXT to the archive so that it now contains a
current list of all my software, which users can get directly from
me. Added an ACHIVE.TXT so users know what the archive should and
should not contain.
Version 5.3. Continued with program enhancements. The score file has
changed so it is suggested that you erase it (from menu) and start over,
but it will work as is. The score file as displayed in the program is
now fully colorized making it much more pleasing. The user's name now
blinks if they make the top ten. This makes it easier for the user to
find their place in the display.
Version 5.4. Continued with program enhancements. Corrected some minor
errors. Added CRAZY.DOC to the archive for a little more detail on
running the program if it is needed. Changed the sound to default OFF.
You now have to turn the sound ON if you want sound effects. This was
to keep it quit for those that might not want sound.
